Adrian Peterson and Jake Locker

Since Johnson entered the league, he has been a dynamic offensive weapon who has made big plays regularly and helped carry the Titans’ one-dimensional offense on his back. Even after falling more than 1,100 yards short of his goal of 2,500 yards in 2010, Johnson still had a solid season and consistently was the Titans’ most dangerous and productive offensive player. Though he has been an elite player his first three seasons, I believe the next three or four could really be special if first-round pick Jake Locker gives the Titans a good passing attack. There are many talented young backs in the league, but only Adrian Peterson is at the same level as Johnson.

Show Time in Memphis

"With the 49th selection in the 2011 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select Josh Selby, guard from Kansas." And with those words, "Showtime" became the latest potential Boy in Beale Street Blue.
Those of you who follow basketball the way that guys like I do will have been familiar with Selby from long before draft night, of course. He's been a big-time name amongst recruits since he was in high school. As Gary Parrish pointed out on his radio show last week, if Selby had been allowed to enter the draft after his senior year, a season in which he finished with the following stats: 32 ppg, 7 apg, 5 rpg, he would have been a no-doubt Top 10 selection. However, given the way that his brief college recruitment and career played out, it's not a great surprise that his stock fell drastically and he found himself in the second round. However, Josh Selby a.k.a. "show time" has tremendous potential and will be able to contribute to the Grizz right away.

Dooley and company says Tennessee is moving forward!

I agree with Dooley on this being his real year 1. Being as short as he was on players and being hired in so late really put the team behind. This year we probably won't surprise anyone except for the people who still think we're a 4-5 win team like they were last year, but we will be competitive in every game. I think Dooley and staff proved they can compete last year when they hung with every team for at least a half. Take out the depth issues last year and it would've been a much more exciting season for us. One injury after another ultimately sabotaged their season.

New A.D.

Tennessee has officially named the woman's athletic director as a temporary replacement for Mike Hamilton. I dont know about you guys, but im relieved this guy is out of the Vol nation. He has done nothing but make stupid hires and waste everyone's time. Every athletic official he has hired has been fired within two years; taking our athletic program in the wrong direction. I believe Big Orange country is truly better off without him and is now headed in the right direction.
